The Sea of Lightning
To begin comprehending where the Sea of Lightning exists you must first become accustomed to the Cosmological Ladder - a diagram of nonphysical levels of reality: astral worlds, worlds of the gods, Highness (transcendental planes), Underworlds, etc.
This ladder stretches from the Absolute - the transcendental level of pure Being, uncreated and eternally self-existent. Then stretches past all the spheres of Highness - the eternal level of existence that is one with the Absolute. Then passes through the Golden Shield – the border between Highness and the World of the Gods. Then through the intermediary worlds - the levels of existence between the physical world and the Worlds of the Gods. Then passed the Kingdom – the physical world. Then through the Underworlds, the Deep Underworlds, and the Sea of Lightning. Past that, descending further, the ladder crosses the Golden Shield below reaching the spheres of Lowness - which are as many as the spheres of Highness, since they are the same and then to the infinite bottom the Absolute that is both infinitely below and infinitely above.
The Sea of Lightning and this ladder were first brought to my attention through the cosmological odyssey, Atlantean Secrets written by Samuel Sagan, founder of The Clairvision School. This spellbinding series is an epic in which Samuel Sagan presents the wonders of the Atlantean World, predictions regarding the future of humanity, and initiation secrets - past, present, and future. A magnificent story of heart and of a struggle for awakening, with multiple references to mythology and cosmology. It explores the scope of human consciousness and takes the reader through a tour of non-physical worlds from the deepest of the underworlds to the summit of the world of the gods. The study of the different worlds and levels of existence that constitute the creation is known as cosmology and is studied to navigate the cosmological ladder and more greatly comprehend higher worlds and their beings.
When you travel the cosmological ladder downwards you come to the sphere of the Nagas - keepers of mighty powers of consciousness and masters of the powers of the underworlds. Here they often enjoy the shore of the Sea of Lighting and bask in the immensity. The liquid electric fire that is the Sea of Lightning would be enough to annihilate one etheric body but this isn’t so for the Nagas. To get another sense of the directional possibilities of the Cosmological Ladder it’s interesting to note that the Nagas reach Highness by diving into the deepest of the underworlds, rather than having to ascend the ladder of the worlds. Thus the term 'spheres of Lowness' is affectionately used by the Nagas as a reminder that the spheres of Highness are as much below as they are above.
Even though the image of the ladder is convenient and evocative, it must be kept in mind that the entire creation, with its myriads of worlds and levels of reality, cannot fit into a two-dimensional diagram! The ladder gives a sense of interrelationship of these different levels, it does not pretend to depict them in their spatial reality.
In particular, a fundamental aspect of the model is that the ladder extends up and down infinitely and that its infinite top is one with its infinite bottom. It would therefore be more accurate to curve the ladder along a sphere of infinite radius. Yet even this would be nothing more than a diagram.
The cosmological ladder is a ladder only on paper.
Many of these terms are known to students of Esoteric Science but many of them and their definitions have been shared from Sagan’s “A Language to Map Consciousness” dictionary.
